Our Services
White Pine Psychology provides psychological services to children, youth, and adults for a variety of concerns including (but not limited to): intellectual developmental, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, behaviour problems, mood disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar), suicidality, anxiety disorders (e.g., separation anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder), difficulty sleeping, stress, personal growth, obsessive-compulsive (and related) disorders, trauma, gender dysphoria, eating disorders, and substance use disorders.

Psychological services break down broadly into two categories: Psychological Assessment and Treatment.
Psychological Assessment
Psychological assessment is a structured process that evaluates a person's mental health, cognitive functioning, and/or behavioural functioning to determine a diagnosis, direct treatment, and/or measure treatment progress. Through interview, testing, and collaboration, your clinician will develop a comprehensive report summarizing their findings and diagnostic impression, as well as specific recommendations to assist in navigating your identified needs.

Psychotherapy (Treatment)
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process, based on the relationship between an individual and their clinician, which helps people develop healthier, more effective habits. It provides a supportive environment that allows people to talk openly with someone who is objective, neutral, and nonjudgemental. Clinicians use therapeutic techniques that are supported by scientific research, which we refer to as "evidenced-based practices."
At White Pine Psychology, we provide individual therapy, and have an eclectic approach to treatment. We offer cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), behaviour therapy (e.g., exposure and response prevention), and eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
